@cookemeeatmeuk says, “The packets of high-protein biltong are delicious eaten on their own as snacks, however they really do take a burger to the next level when added in too!”

Prep time: 20 minsCook time: 20 minsServes 4 - 6Ingredients: Burger Patties
- 375-400g Lean Steak Mince (makes 4 - 6 patties depending on thickness)
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- Pinch of Garlic Powder
- ½ White onion, grated
- 4 Brioche Buns
Fillings
- 2 packs Ember Chilli biltong
- 2 Lettuce leaves per person
- 1 slice of Cheese per burger
- Sliced Red Onion
- Jalapeños or Sliced Chillies
- Guacamole
- Salsa
- Baconnaise
- A few Doritos
Instructions:
- Place the mince in a bowl with the spices, egg, and grated white onion. Mix everything together with your hands, making sure the mince is all broken up and blended together
- Divide the burger mix equally into however many burgers you like. Squash each ‘meat ball’ down on a piece of greaseproof paper until it’s as thin as you like
- Prepare the fillings and slice the buns in half
- Heat a few sprays of oil in a pan. Once the pan is hot, add in each burger patty and cook for approx. 3 mins on each side
- Add a slice of cheese on top of each burger, add a tiny bit of water to the pan and put the lid on to steam and melt the cheese.
- In the meantime, quickly toast your buns under the grill
- Once everything’s cooked, build your burger with the fillings
