Orders and delivery

For any changes or cancellations, please contact us at hello@embersnacks.com providing your email address and/or order number and we will do our best to sort it out. Please be aware that we aim to send our orders the same day and so your order may have already been sent out.

After you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email to the email address you put in your order.
If you have not received a confirmation email please contact us at hello@embersnacks.com and we will help you.

Our 250g, 500g bulk bag products and Variety Biltong 3 pack products are small enough to fit through most letterboxes.
All other biltong products will not fit through your letterbox, so we'd recommend ordering to an address where someone will be in to receive it. If no-one is in, a card will be left to let you know the delivery has been attempted. This card will give you details on rescheduling a delivery or organising a collection from your local delivery depot.


We can't include any gift messages in your orders at the moment.

Most of our 250g and 500g bulk bags are now in resealable packaging, however some products may still be sent out in our old packaging. If the image of the product has a 'resealable' label on it then it will arrive in a resealable bag.

From our webstore we deliver to the UK including the Channel islands, France, Germany, Italy and Hungary.

We also have Amazon stores active in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. If you are outside of these countries you may be able to get delivery from one of these stores.

Standard deliveries can be expected to arrive 3-5 working days after your order was placed. You will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number once your items have been shipped.

If you have ordered to an address outside the UK the shipping will take 7 working days.

Once your item has been shipped you will receive a shipping confirmation email and tracking number.

Delivery fees will be calculated and added based on your delivery address. Further details on this can be found at checkout.

Product

Our biltong is crafted right here in the UK using top quality British and Irish meat.

Biltong is thinly sliced dried, cured meat originating in Southern African countries like Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. If we had to compare it to something, we’d say it was a little like beef jerky. But trust us - it’s a whole different beast. To find out more about biltong, click here.


We use the silverside cut for our biltong.


Beef jerky is a classic cooked and dehydrated meat snack, made with salt and a handful of different seasonings. All the moisture is sucked out of the meat, which means it can hang around safely on the shelves for a long time.

Biltong, on the other hand, uses a mix of vinegar and deep, strong spices every step of the way, giving the meat that extra notch of flavour. It also packs a juicier punch, because it has a slightly higher amount of fat running through the meat. Beef jerky has less fat - hence why it can be drier (and tougher on the teeth). We make our biltong by marinating, seasoning and curing lean meat from cows reared on British and Irish soil. To learn more about the process, click here.

We guarantee that our biltong will arrive to you with a shelf life of at least 45 days but our products will normally have a longer shelf life of 3-6 months.

If you can resist the urge to munch down all your biltong straight away we suggest sticking to the following storage rules.
28g packs — Once opened consume within 24 hours.
Bulk bags — Once opened our biltong should be refrigerated and consumed within 14 days. We also recommend keeping the biltong in an airtight container to keep the product as fresh as possible.

All our products are low carb and high protein making them perfect as part of a keto diet.

Whilst we work to ensure any allergens are not present in our biltong and other products it is packed in an environment where surrounding materials could contain traces of common allergens.

Unfortunately we are not Halal certified.

You do not need an account to order from our website. If you would like to set one up you can do that by clicking on this link.

You can reset your password by clicking on the 'Forgot your password' link on the Login page. By requesting a password reset you will be sent an email explaining how to reset your password.

A subscription allows you to easily manage your deliveries and not have to worry about placing your next order. You can set how often you would like to receive and order, whether it is weekly, monthly or even daily! You can rest easy knowing your next snack delivery is already sorted.

On the shop or product page, select 'subscribe and save' choosing how often you would like to receive your selection. You also get the benefit of receiving a discount on every order.

You can change or cancel your subscription by logging in to your account and clicking on 'Manage Subscriptions'. From there, scroll down to 'Products in your Subscription'. Here you can swap your product choice. You can upgrade or downgrade to a different bundle and your subscription price will be changed accordingly.
