What is charcuterie?

The word charcuterie comes from France and refers to the creation of meats such as salami and ham that are traditionally cured and served cold on a charcuterie board paired with cheese or other nibbles. Making charcuterie is considered a fine art with those that make salamis even being called charcutiers (fancy right?).

 

How do you make your charcuterie?

We spent months around a kitchen table, exploring British seasonings and studying the charcuterie process until we cracked it. Our high quality British meat is mixed with a delicious blend of herbs and spices and expertly cured until it's at its very best.

 

Can you eat charcuterie without cooking it?

Our charcuterie range is ready to eat straight from the packet and doesn't require any sort of cooking. Our charcuterie range, like most salami products, are uncooked but not raw as they are air-dried and cured until safe to be consumed.

 

How do you serve charcuterie?

Our charcuterie range can be served as a snack straight from the pack or it can be the centerpiece of your grazing board, the perfect pizza topper, or a great way to add protein to your favourite meals.

 

Does charcuterie need to be cooked?

Not if you don’t want it to be. Our Charcuterie range is ready to eat straight from the packet but you can definitely add it to your favourite meals and it makes the perfect pizza topping.

 

What meat do you use to make your charcuterie?

Our charcuterie range is made from 100% grass-fed British beef, outdoor-reared British pork, and wild British venison. All sourced from only a handful of farms we trust that are dedicated to farming regeneratively, rebuilding soil health and restoring wildlife.

 

Is your charcuterie ok for keto?

Makes a change from the other known named meat snacks out there, brilliant service, excellent product, and proactively supports the community plus once you open a pack, you can’t stop till it’s all gone! I’m a regular re-orderer of this product, and I’ll continue to support this product forever now. Although the last two orders of my mix n match have been delivered late after paying for express delivery with no other option, ember has refunded me the delivery charge on those orders, perhaps they could just offer free delivery anyway? As I also order from Kings Elite snacks for my biltong, can’t beat the value of 16x 65g pouches and Can-d for my maple Smokey bacon strips, and they don’t charge for delivery and products always arrive on time or earlier from those.

Are these discontinued???

Got these and the venison from Sainsburys as a biltong fan who often ends up throwing half the packet away with supermarket brands as too tough or rancid fat ... this is different ... I love the formulation, it's brilliant ... and the use of quinoa is genius giving a really great texture. Please don't stop making them.
